Entering the Port Washington restaurant mix is Port Mix Grill Kebab, which takes over the former digs of La Bottega.
Here, skewered meats have a Turkish skew. Chef-owner Vinny Cam previously cooked at Bellissimo Pizzeria & Restaurant, also in Port Washington.
Among his specialties here are pide, savory stuffed pastries, which may be had with spinach, Turkish sausage or pastrami ($11.95). Shish-kebab can be made with lamb ($14.25), beef ($13.25) chicken ($13.95) or salmon ($15.95).
Cam said the place has both table and counter service as well as takeout and local delivery. A liquor license is pending.
