A major tasting of New York State wines and craft spirits, including many from Long Island, will he held on Saturday, March 19, at Post Wine & Spirits in Syosset.
The tasting is open to the public, free, and scheduled from 2 to 6 p.m.
Among the Long Island wineries taking part are Bedell Cellars in Cutchogue, Palmer Vineyards in Aquebogue, Lieb Cellars of Mattituck and Cutchogue, Wolffer Estate of Sagaponack, The Lenz Winery of Peconic, Raphael in Peconic, Sparkling Pointe in Southold, Jamesport Vineyards, Shinn Estate in Mattituck, and McCall Wines of Cutchogue.
Long Island Spirits, the craft distillery in Baiting Hollow, also will participate. Long Island Spirits produces vodka, bourbon, rye and single-malt whiskey. From Brooklyn, Widow Jane, which makes bourbon and rye; Greenhook Ginsmiths; and Breukelen Distilling, producer of gin and whiskey, will be among those represented.
