Rein, the restaurant at the Garden City Hotel, will offer its first tasting menu on Sunday.
The $45 per person, four-course affair will be available each night, Sunday to Thursday. The dishes will change bi-weekly.
Chef Steven De Bruyn's initial menu starts with a chicory-and-roasted beet salad with Vermont goat cheese; then goes on to a tarragon-infused filet of cod with wild mushrooms, Brussels-sprout leaves and mustard sauce; red-wine braised short ribs with whole-wheat pasta, diced root vegetables and a celery-root coulis; and a warm, chocolate-croissant bread pudding with brandied cherries and pistachio ice cream.
Wine pairings for three couses may be added for $21.
