Jade Garden, a Hauppauge standby for Chinese food for at least a quarter century, has reopened after an 8-month hiatus for a major makeover. The restaurant now has a contemporary new look as well as a revised menu.
Featured dishes include pan-fried pork dumplings ($6.75), squid with garlic sauce ($17.50), orange flavored chicken ($12.75), moo shu pork ($12.75), General Tso’s chicken ($15.75) and bean curd Szechuan style ($10.95). There is also a section of the menu devoted to egg foo young (five varieties, $12.75 to $13.75).
