Onsen Sushi gets two-and-a-half stars from Joan Reminick in this week's Newsday. She praises the raw fish, chirashi and the bento-box salmon and shrimp teriyaki at this Oakdale restaurant, along with the nabe yaki udon.
Newsday's Peter Gianotti reviews Jackson Hall American Bar & Grille in East Islip. Giving the casual spot one star, he recommends the "American favorites," including hefty crab cakes, meaty buffalo wings and a trio of mini-cheeseburgers.
