Blunt, uncomplicated and a neighborhood staple, Robke's Country Inn is best for straightforward and casual American food. It's equal parts hangout and local restaurant, with a rough-hewn quality. No-frills and all that. And Robke's does seem as popular for beverages as it does for edibles. You come here for the sirloin burger platter and the "extra heavy cut" sirloin steak. Precede either one with the onion soup or the shrimp cocktail. That cocktail is about as far as you should go with the seafood, unless you're magically drawn to the flounder stuffed with crabmeat. The place offers catering, too.
