Roslyn: Limani's 4-course prix fixe

At the elegant Greek dining spot Limani, four courses from the a la carte menu can easily set you back $100. Which makes the restaurant's new $39.95 prix fixe sound like a veritable steal. To take advantage, you can go Tuesday to Saturday from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and all night Sunday and Monday (excluding holidays). 

Here are your choices:

First Course

Soup ~ chef’s choice of the day
Patzaria ~ roasted beets and skordalia
Green Salad ~ hearts of romaine with a picante dressing and fresh dill

Mixed Field Salad ~ organic greens with extra virgin olive oil and red wine vinaigrette

Second Course

Mushrooms ~ charcoal-grilled Abalone mushrooms
Calamari ~ rings of fresh and tender calamari, lightly pan-fried
Gigantes ~ Greek (Kastorian) Giant lima beans baked with tomato, dill and parsley
Peppers ~ Holland; grilled red and yellow peppers
Scallops ~ seared bay scallops with citrus and mint

Main Course

Loup de Mer ~ Moist, mild Mediterranean Sea Bass served with Horta
Royal Dorado ~ Mediterranean; very delicate, flavorful fish from the Dorado family
Salmon ~ wild Pacific Coast filet
Lobster (1 ½ lb) ~ Maine; deep sea lobster, charcoal grilled ($5 supplemental)
Chicken ~ bone-in chicken breast marinated with rosemary and thyme
Grilled French Cut Baby Lamb Chops ~ served with Greek fries
Filet Mignon ~ boneless prime beef tenderloin ($5 supplemental)


Baklava ~ traditional homemade Greek pastry with almonds
Karidopita ~ walnut cake served with vanilla ice cream
Sorbet ~ one choice of daily selection

A glass of wine is either an additional $7 (for  Moschofilero Boutari, Mantinia, Greece, 2008) or  $8 (Agiorgitiko Gaia, Nemea, Peloponnese, 2007).
