Roslyn: Parlez-vous Francais?

This just in from Craigslist:

French restaurant (Roslyn)

We need French speaking people
no experience we will train

Does this mean that Roslyn is getting a French restaurant? Bistro Citron, overlooking the pond, is arguably French. But based on my experiences there and at Reststar Hospitality Group’s other bistros, the ability to speak French is not a requisite skill—certainly it doesn’t trump experience.

I can understand why a restaurant might need servers who could pronounce French correctly, but not the need for servers who can actually speak it. That would imply either a Francophone clientele (rare on LI) or a chef who only speaks French (even rarer, since the lingua franca of American restaurant kitchens is Spanish).

Ah well, un vrai mystère.
