Townline BBQ ignites "Eat Drink Local Week" with beer and barbecue.
The event, sponsored by Edible New York, begins with Townline's bash on Sunday, June 26. The party goes from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. You can join in at $40 for adults and $15 for children 12 years old or younger.
Chef Joseph Realmuto, best known for his work at Nick & Toni's in East Hampton, is participating in the festivities. Townline and N&T's share ownership.
Dishes at the Townline celebration include whole smoked hog, whole smoked spring lamb, griddle-roasted North Fork oysters with lime-chive yogurt sauce from Catapano Dairy Farm, baby back ribs, Balsam Farms kale and lettuce, and house-made spoon bread and bread-and-butter pickles. The strawberry-rhubarb cobbler is a Balsam Farms-Nick and Toni's garden alliance. There will be mini-whoopie pies, too.
