Serata South, the Long Beach offshoot of Serata in Oyster Bay, opened last month in the former digs of Matteo’s.

Like its older sibling, the new place offers a mostly Italian menu with such dishes as chicken Parmesan sliders ($12), linguine with white clam sauce ($18) and filet of sole almondine ($27).

French doors open onto the street, where there are also some sidewalk tables. After 10 p.m. on weekends, the restaurant morphs into a supper club, with dancing and DJs.
