It wasn't just ribs that were smokin' at Smokin' Al's Famous BBQ Joint in Massapequa Park right after the Giants' Super Bowl victory on Sunday. It was also about $60 grand worth of credit card receipts.

That's the value of the food BBQ restaurateur Al Horowitz said he gave away as part of a promotional offer he'd made: Free catering if the Giants won the Super Bowl. Horowitz, who had to prematurely cap the number of orders taken, ended up burning as many as 300 receipts for catering orders, most of which rang up at about $200 each.

All told, Horowitz said he put out between 1,000 and 2,000 racks of ribs, between 1,000 and 2,000 worth of chopped and pulled meats and “a whole lot of cut-up chickens.”

Smokin' Al's Famous BBQ Joint is at 19 W. Main St. in Bay Shore, 631-206-3000, and 4847 Merrick Rd. in Massapequa Park, 516-799-4900.
