If you’re into super flavorful pork dishes, there’s a new spot for you. It’s WM Grill House in Lindenhurst, where you’ll find griot, a revered dish in Haiti, with chunks of marinated, fried pork garnished with chili-infused pickled slaw, served with a side of fried plantains.

You’ll also find fried chicken, catfish, oxtail and ribs at this sit-down restaurant. Wilguens Mentor used to run a smaller place of the same name in Wheatley Heights. Mentor closed that location and reopened here, with a 40-seat dining room and an outdoor patio. “It’s a much nicer space,” he said.

Mentor, who moved from Haiti to Long Island when he was a child, spent time cooking in the military and at The Milleridge Inn in Jericho, among other restaurants before opening his own place.

Vincent Hurley runs the kitchen, with meat dishes priced at $7.50 to $25.95, along with Southern-inspired appetizers and sides from $4 to $10.

WM Grill House is open from Sunday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.

WM Grill House is at 543 W. Hoffman Ave., Lindenhurst, 631-225-4040,
