This Saturday and Sunday, Long Island's only itinerant artisanal cheesemonger, Mark Cassin (aka The Big Cheese) is bringing his wares to pair with the wines at Sparkling Pointe winery. From 2 to 5 p.m., you can taste four of Sparkling Pointe’s sparklers (made via la Méthode Champenoise) along with four New York State cheeses (from Long Island and the Hudson Valley). The pairings are $30. Just there for the cheese? That’ll set you back $17. Wine and cheese will also be for sale.
