Stew Leonard's Wines "salon" in Farmingdale

Boutique French wines will be the topic at Stew Leonard's Wines in Farmingdale on Monday.

The shop will host eight winemakers who'll discuss their wines and techniques at the "salon du vin."  There will be free tastings, and bottles of the wines will be available for purchase. Stew Leonard's will co-host the gathering with T. Edward Wines, the importer and distributor.

The wines include those of Jean Luc Thunevin selections, Chateaux Compassant, Bellevue la Randee and Franc Millet, from Bordeaux; Chateau des Rontets Burgundies; Domaine Jean Aubron Muscadet; Domaine Serge Laloue Sancerre; Anne Pichoon Viognier, Roussane and 'Gigantic' Ventoux Rouge; Chateau Maucoil Chateauneuf du Pape; La Ferme St. Pierre Cote de Ventoux Rose and 'Roi Faineant'; and Chateau Thenac Fleur du Perigord Bergerac Blanc and Rouge.

The April 2 session is from 5 to 8 p.m.

On April 4, there will be a similar session at Stew Leonard's Wines in Carle Place.
