Mirabelle, the four-star restaurant at the Three Village Inn, will serve a $70 Christmas Eve dinner. Reservations: essential.
Chef Guy Reuge's menu includes starters such as pheasant consomme, butter-poached shrimps and American sturgeon caviar with potato blini. Highlights among main dishes: butternut squash-mascarpone ravioli with roasted apples and fried sage; seared black sea bass with wild mushroom potpie and curry-apple sauce; fricassee of diver sea scallops with soba noodles; and seared, aged shell steak with potato napoleon and spinach-shiitake mushroom ragout. Desserts are led by a buche de Noel, the Christmas log; gingerbread, pear and caramel ice cream; and the house's classic ginger-almond tart.
The three-course menu is available starting at 4 p.m. The $70 doesn't include tax and tip.
Mirabelle Tavern, the more casual Reuge restaurant at the Inn, will offer a Christmas Eve buffet for $55; half-price for children less than 10 years old. Reservations required. The buffet will feature beef Wellington, risotto-stuffed rack of lamb, lobster-and-scallop in pastry, and eggplant rollatine among the main courses.
