Sweet Tomato Brick Oven Pizza & Grill just made its debut in the St. James space that last housed Attilio’s Grill (but is perhaps best known for hosting the former Bella Vita City Grill). The new eatery offers brick-oven pizza and an Italian repertoire. Co-owner Allison Clusel said that, for now, former Attilio's owner Sam Mancini is the chef.
The gas-fired brick oven produces an individual-sized brick oven pie ($8.95), a Grandma pan pizza ($15.95) and a “crispo” thin crust pan pizza ($21.95) and more. Choices from the rest of the menu include calamari arrabbiata ($10.95), mini rice balls ($6.95), a mixed vegetable chopped salad ($13.95), the Sweet Tomato “skinny girl” pasta made with spaghetti squash, shaved vegetables and grilled chicken ($18.95) and eggplant Parmesan ($15.95).
Sweet Tomato Brick Oven Pizza & Grill is at 430 N. Country Rd., St. James, 631-265-9801.
