Maybe you didn't get a refund this year, but here's something that may cheer you up on Tax Day: restaurant chains with deals and offers this April 15.
Tax Day is half-priced cheeseburger day at Sonic Drive-In, including the lone Long Island location in North Babylon. The deal lasts all April 15.
A cheesy companion to your tax return is Pizza Hut's "National Pizza Return" campaign. Through April 18, head to pizzareturn.com to complete your "P-2" and possibly win a $50 gift card.
It's a B.O.G.O. day at Boston Market on April 15. Buy one individual meal (including the new pulled pork, pictured with rotisserie chicken), and get one free. All Long Island locations are participating.
Hard Rock Cafe
If you're in Manhattan, swing by the Hard Rock Cafe at 1501 Broadway, but be prepared to sing. From 5 to 7 p.m., hit the restaurant's stage and bust out a tune (backed by a cover band), and you'll earn a free legendary burger. The New York version of the burger has pizza sauce, sauteed mushrooms, provolone and pepperoni.
Stop at Riesterer's Bakery in West Hempstead all day for miniature "$BUCK$ Cakes" slices for $1 each.
Kona Shaved Ice
The Kona Shaved Ice truck will be traveling around Long Island, offering free shaved ice to anyone who stops them on Tax Day, which Kona has dubbed "Chill Out Day."
