Meet the "Metzel."

Sweeties Candy Cottage Huntington is honoring the Mets' winning the pennant Wednesday night with pretzels that are in team colors and sport the club's logo.

The unofficial Mets' pretzel is covered with orange and blue nonpareils and finished with the image of the team logo made from edible frosting sheets. It goes for $2.50 at owner Lisa Hodes' store. A three-pack, with a milk chocolate covered pretzel and a dark chocolate covered one as well as the Metzel, is $5.50.

She added that Oreos with the National League champions' colors and edible logo also are available today, two for $6.

"We try a new product every day," Hodes said. "We work on the fly."

And they have a hit.

Sweeties Candy Cottage, 142 E. Main St., Huntington; 631-423-7625.
