Tuesday is movie night at  The Patio in Freeport.

The restaurant at the Freeport Inn & Marina opens the series next week with Oscar-winner "Forrest Gump." Showtime: 7 p.m.

In addition to popcorn and candy, there's a $30 two-course, fixed-price dinner to go with the show on the 12-foot, waterfront screen and flat-screen televisions throughout the restaurant.

Chef Colin McKaharay's choices include Caesar salad and New England-style clam chowder to start, with orange-and-dill salmon, balsamic vinegar-glazed chicken, and a  Long Island lobster roll. Add $5 for skirt steak, citrus-soy tuna or "uptown mac-and-cheese."

No shrimp. No box of chocolates.

The current schedule: "Forrest Gump" (July 24); "Coming to America" (July 31); "Spaceballs" (Aug. 7); "Caddyshack" (Aug. 14); "Say Anything" (Aug. 21); and "Three Amigos" (Aug. 28).
