In this week’s Newsday, Peter M. Gianotti awards 2½ stars to Aperitif in Rockville Centre, the newest (and most starred) restaurant from the Sage Bistro group, which includes Sage Bistro in Bellmore, Brasserie Persil in Oceanside and Sage Bistro Moderne in Woodbury.

Joan Reminick gives Mineola's Thai newcomer Lemon Leaf two stars, observing that “you may not swear you’re in Bangkok, but you should feel glad to find yourself in Mineola. Here, culinary authenticity takes a backseat to just plain contentment.”
