Joan Reminick visits Sicilia Risturanti in Levittown, whose menu (not to mention the spelling of its name) is true to the singular island of Sicily. Dominican-born chef Daniel De Jesus “cooks like a born Sicilian,” she writes. “Some of his recipes come from co-owner Domenic Giampino's Sicilian mother; others were simply well researched.”

Peter Gianotti reviews Pine Island Grill in Bayville, whose main course “is a grand water view. They could serve a saute of driftwood with a side of sand here, and you wouldn’t mind that much. Enjoy the company, the cocktail, the coastline.”
