Burke’s Bar-B-Que Barn in Baldwin (What can I say, it’s an alliterative day) is selling brined, rubbed and smoked whole turkeys and turkey breasts. Burke's is a serious BBQ establishment and these birds are the real deal. The turkeys range from $55, for 12 to 14 pounds, to $90, for a 20-plus-pound beast. Turkey breasts are $5.50/pound. Burke’s is also selling a complete, heat-and-serve turkey dinner featuring a 15-pound smoked turkey, potato, sausage stuffing, gravy, corn muffins, orange-cranberry sauce, bread pudding and vegetables. All of this for $120. Pickup all items on Wednesday Nov. 24.

Swing by Burke’s tomorrow (Saturday) between 1 and 6 p.m. for samples. Your order must be received by Sunday Nov. 21. Burke’s Bar-B-Que Barn is at 2092 Grand Ave., Baldwin, 516-442-0909.

We love the rotisserie turkeys at Happy Hostess and the venerable Rockville Centre’s proprietor, Jay Post, is the star of Newsday’s own turkey-carving video. Happy Hostess will cook not only the turkey, but every conceivable Thanksgiving side dish. A complete dinner for 10 is $148.98; for 15, $225.98. And Happy Hostess is open on Thanksgiving Day until 1 p.m.

Happy Hostess is at 318A Sunrise Hwy., Rockville Centre, 516-766-1046.
