Vitae, the New American restaurant in downtown Huntington, offers a summertime fixed-price dinner: $27.95 for three courses.
The special is available Sundays and Tuesdays, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.; and Wednesday to Friday, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Chef Keith Davidson's choices include teriyaki chicken dumplings, mussels marinara, onion soup, Caesar salad and, with supplementary prices, baked clams oreganata ($2 added), tandoori naan with beef tenderloin ($3 extra), and pan-crisped Maryland crab cake ($5 more.)
Main courses: penne alla vodka, tomato-corn-and-crab risotto, chicken Marsala, and roasted salmon with red-pepper emulsion, flatiron steak, and blue crab-crusted sole ($8 supplement). Desserts take in gelato, New York-style cheesecake and apple strudel with vanilla gelato and caramel sauce.
