Here are a couple of places you may want to check out this weekend:

A fixture in Wantagh until it lost its lease in April, Tennessee Jed’s is now happily ensonced in new Lindenhurst digs. Pitmaster Francisco Gonzalez serves caveman-sized portions of brisket, ribs, pulled pork and chicken, barbecued or fried. Dinners, $11 to $15, come with two sides. There are also sandwiches and po-boys and plenty of beers on tap to enjoy in the rollicking bar or casual dining room. 143 N. Wellwood Ave., Lindenhurst; 631-225-1595

Now is the time to plan a trip to East End wineries on the weekend, when tasting rooms are abuzz — like the one at Wölffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack. Order a red, white, rose or late harvest wine by the glass ($9 to $14) to sip by the fire in this stately lodge, or meander into the heated porch overlooking the vineyards. Near the tasting room, you’ll find the shop, where you can stock up on wines for the holidays. New this season, the vineyard has unveiled Wölffer Estate “Pink” gin ($34 a bottle), a spirit that starts with rosé wine as the gin base, with juniper berries, anise, fennel, coriander, cumin and cardamom in the mix. 139 Sagg Rd., Sagaponack, 631-537-5106,
