For a nouvelle spin on a Christmas show, there's Cirque le Masque's "Noel," twirling with acrobats and clowns, aerialists and elves, music and song. The performances are at the Patchogue Theatre this weekend. For additional information: 631-286-1133, gatewayplayhouse.com.

And for some tasty dining in the area, you can consider these three eateries.

Bobbique stands out with barbecue and brews. You'll dive into the pulled pork and pulled chicken, chopped beef brisket, St. Louis-style ribs, fries with chili and cheese sauce, macaroni and cheese, and pretty much anything that will get you messy. For dessert, try the banana pudding or the apple-caramel pie.

PeraBell Food Bar offers a flavorful, eclectic menu. Sample the crisp Napoleon of eggplant, juicy sliders, the pesto-seasoned chicken panino, a double-cut pork chop paired with a sweet-potato tart, Thai-glazed short ribs, wasabi grilled tuna with a soba-noodle fry, onion soup, chicken wings four ways.
