The White Whale restaurant has occupied this tranquil, waterside location in Seaford for more than 20 years.
The American-continental menu draws upon some old German family recipes for such items as sauerbraten, Wiener schnitzel and Jager schnitzel. (The family in question, the Hoppls, used to own Carl Hoppl's Park Inn in Valley Stream.) Befitting its canal-side location--and nautical name--the White Whale also has an extensive selection of seafood and there are also steaks and Italian specialties.
If you want to dock and dine, there's a tie-up dock in Treasure Lagoon Canal.
