There was nothing to feel blue about at the month-old Blue Sushi in Williston Park, where it's all about fresh fish and friendly service. The small, spare space, its walls partially covered with attractive mosaic tiles, is almost unrecognizable as the former home of Oliver Bon Dinant.
The sushi bar did well with inventive maki rolls: a blackboard special “honey” roll of eel with mango, avocado and tobiko and a no-rice “Suki” roll (spicy tuna and spicy yellowtail, tempura flakes, salmon, avocado, crab and cucumber wrapped in soy paper). Also very good was a traditional salmon and avocado roll.
