Woodbury: Annual culinary benefit

The 19th annual Evening of Good Taste, Long Island’s longest-running culinary benefit, will take place March 5 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

This year, more than 70 restaurants, specialty shops, wineries and breweries will participate in the festivities, including 21 Main in Sayville, Blue Point Brewing Company in Patchogue, Dora Nonnie Tapas & Wine Bar in Glen Head, Duck Walk Vineyards in Southold and Water Mill, J. Michaels Tuscan Steakhouse in Northport, Market Bistro in Jericho, Sweet Karma Desserts in East Meadow and Prime Time Butcher in Roslyn Heights and Woodbury.

The Long Island chapter of the Amercian Culinary Federation will do a formal judging for best restaurant, bakery and carved-ice sculpture. Civilian attendants will vote on a people’s choice winner.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the the Gerturde & Louis Feil Cancer Center at South Nassau Communities Hospital. Tickets purchased before 3 p.m. on March 5 are $100; call the hospital’s development office at 516-377-5360. At the door, the price is $150.
