A new spot in a former hotspot in Bridgehampton is the new “it’’ spot this summer, with ambitious small plates and a late-night bar menu.

Zigmund’s, courtesy of Eric Lemonides and chef Jason Weiner of Almond Bar and Restaurant in Bridgehampton, just opened as the place to see and be seen.

Named for Weiner’s wife, Almond Zigmund, the new restaurant is in the former space of Fresh. It’s loosely based on The Wild Rose, a bar housed in this very location in the 1990s.

Expect Mediterranean small plates — like eggplant dip, grilled octopus, or fried fish with dill and lemon ($7 to $22) — to accompany drinks from manager Justin Fairweather’s creative repertoire.

Look for batched cocktails seasoned with herbs and other ingredients from the on-site garden maintained by the folks from Amber Waves Farm in Amagansett. Fairweather’s Vodka Soda is one of them, accented with lemon verbena, lemon balm and citrus zest. A Pimm’s Cup will also be served via soda gun, spiked with house ginger syrup, thyme and lemon zest.

The local Channing Daughters rose makes an appearance in an Aperol Spritz, laced with hibiscus water and garnished with a dehydrated orange slice

Zigmund’s is at 203 Bridgehampton/Sag Harbor Tpke., Bridgehampton, 631-919-5340
