What do fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, writer Amy Tan and actor John Leguizamo have in common? They were all born between 1946 and 1964, making them baby boomers. And they are also three of 19 people on "The Boomer List," a documentary airing as part of the long-running "American Masters" series on PBS.
For the documentary, filmmakers profiled one representative person born each year from 1946 to 1964. The lineup includes actors, scientists, artists, athletes and social activists. Author Tim O'Brien, at 67, is the oldest person on the list. Leguizamo, 50, is the youngest. Two Long Islanders are on the roster: Billy Joel (1949) and Rosie O'Donnell (1962).
The show premieres Tuesday at 9 p.m. on WNET/13.
