You've played many roles in your life. Here's a chance to play the role of a lifetime.
Sedgwick Russell Conservatory, a Manhattan-based acting school, is holding its first Actor Boot Camp, a 10-week course focused on giving inexperienced actors and people who have never acted the tools to succeed. The school is offering one free "midlife scholarship" to an adult 50 or older who always wanted to be an actor but was never able to follow the dream. No prior acting experience necessary. It's quite a deal: Tuition for the boot camp (nwsdy.li/actorbootcamp) is $7,500.
To be considered, submit a 200-word essay telling why you are the perfect person for the scholarship. Send it to Midlife Scholarship, Snapple Theater Center, 210 W. 50th St., Floor 4, New York, NY 10019. Or email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Be sure to include your contact information. All entries must be received by Sept. 29.
The boot camp begins Oct. 6.
