Free seminar on cloud computing at Northport Library on May 21

Here's a chance to shine some light on what might be a cloud of uncertainty.

Cloud computing is one of the hottest trends in technology. In short, it's a way of storing and saving your computer documents and files in giant Internet-based computers, where you can access them from any computer or mobile device. Popular cloud services include Dropbox, Google Drive, Apple iCloud, Microsoft OneDrive and Box. All of these services offer a generous amount of storage for free. But despite its popularity, cloud computing is not well understood by many computer users, especially older ones.

To learn more about cloud computing, attend a free seminar at Northport Library on May 21 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. "The Cloud Demystified" is aimed at adults 50 and older.
