An estate plan contains instructions on how your assets should be distributed and how you want your heirs cared for after you die. But you should make sure you remember all your loved ones, including those with four legs.
"Protect Your Assets, Protect Your Pets," a free seminar sponsored by the North Shore Animal League, can give you strategies to help ensure that your pets are taken care of after you die, while also minimizing the tax liability on your estate.
The workshop, presented by an elder-law attorney, a financial adviser and North Shore Animal League's director of planned giving, is Thursday, Nov. 5, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the Eventi Hotel on Sixth Avenue in Manhattan, just a few blocks from Penn Station.
Reservations are required. Call 516-812-7218 or email email@example.com.
