When you put together an estate plan, you should always consider the loved ones who will survive you, and that includes the loved ones with four legs.

You can learn about ways to provide for your surviving pets at a workshop presented by North Shore Animal League America on Thursday, 5:30-8:30 p.m., at the Roslyn Claremont Hotel.

Giving tips and advice on how to make sure your pets are cared for will be estate-planning and elder-law attorney Stephen Silverberg and the animal league's Eric Lieberman, who will talk about the organization's surviving pet care program.

The workshop is free, but reservations are required. Call 516-883-7900, ext. 354.
