Over 50 Fair returns for fifth year

The Over 50 Fair heads to Long Island for the fifth year with a full day of events aimed at boomers and seniors.

More than 30 classes will be offered, covering a wide range of topics, from retirement tips, exercise and diet, to reverse mortgages, sex after 50 and aging in place. And representatives from more than 90 companies and agencies will discuss products and services that can make life easier or more fun.

Tickets are $8 at the door, or $6 if you order online at over50fair.com. The event also features free health-related screenings and free food tastings. All classes and lectures are free after paying for admission.

The fair is Sunday, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at the Melville Marriott. No charge for veterans; free valet parking is available.
