Time with Mom on her day is the priority, study finds

If Mother's Day and Father's Day fell on

It seems it would be a tough call, but if Mother's Day and Father's Day fell on the same day and an adult child could visit only one parent, guess who wins? It's Mom: 78 percent of adult children would spend the day with her, according to a survey conducted by home-caregiver agency Visiting Angels.

The survey also found that 59 percent of the grown children said they wanted to spend time with Mom to set a good example for their own kids.

As for Mother's Day presents, the top gift on an adult child's list was a card. But they may have to dig a bit deeper in their wallet to really make Mom happy. The No. 1 most-wanted gift from mothers was a twofer: a card and a dinner out.
