It's not a fun subject to talk about, but many boomers and seniors want to know that their funeral is taken care of. Planning your funeral includes deciding what kind of service you want, where it should take place, how much it should cost and details of burial or cremation. It also is a way to spare your loved ones from making decisions at an emotional time and to free them from any financial costs.
If you want to learn more, Huntington Public Library is holding "Pre-Planning Your Funeral" Wednesday at 7 p.m. The discussion will be led by a funeral director and an elder-law attorney.
The workshop will be held at the library's main branch at 338 Main St. Register for the event at the library or go to thehuntington library.org. You also can call 631-427-5165.
