With open enrollment for the 2011 Medicare Part D prescription drug program under way, here's a chance to get help picking a plan while booting up your computer skills.
Members of the Long Island Senior Education Council will give seniors lessons in how to navigate the Medicare website and how to compare plans. And students from East Islip High School will offer tips on making the computer easier and more fun to use. For example, you will learn how to make screen fonts bigger or smaller and how to download pictures from a camera.
There are two chances to attend this free "Senior Cyber" workshop: Thursday 6-8 p.m. or next Saturday 10 a.m.-noon. Both workshops are at East Islip High School. Reservations are required. Call 631-665-6475.
