Do some good for others — and do a lot of good for yourself. When older adults volunteer, they reap an array of physical, emotional and mental benefits, according to numerous scientific studies.

You can find an opportunity that suits you at the free Volunteer Fair at Sachem Library in Holbrook on March 28, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Attending the fair will be representatives from more than 20 local nonprofit and charitable organizations, including Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Bideawee, Family Service League, Special Olympics, United Veterans and the Lake Ronkonkoma Historical Society.
