Reports from county or village police, Jan. 31-Feb. 6


A 2009 Honda parked on Walbridge Avenue was broken into Jan. 31. A jacket, camera and GPS unit were taken.

An iPod was taken from a 2004 Dodge pickup truck parked in a Gamecock Lane driveway Jan. 31.


A 1997 trailer containing office furniture was discovered stolen Feb. 1 from a construction site on G Road.

Central Islip

A computer was stolen from a car in a parking lot on Courthouse Drive on Feb. 2.


A flat-screen TV and stand were stolen from a guest room at the Days Inn on 34th Street on Feb. 1.

A 47-year-old woman and a 50-year old woman, both from Lindenhurst, were arrested Feb. 1 for shoplifting candles and coffee creamer from an IGA supermarket on Montauk Highway. Both suspects were charged with petty larceny.

A 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen on Daly Place on Jan. 31.

Deer Park

A 48-year-old Bronx woman was arrested and charged with grand larceny Jan. 31 for taking money from another person's account at a bank on Commack Road.


Assorted tools were discovered stolen Feb. 4 from an unlocked vehicle on Denver Avenue.

Cash and jewelry was stolen from a residence on Matt Court on Feb. 2. A burglar gained entry to the premises by prying open a bedroom window.

Assorted equipment was discovered stolen Feb. 2 from a backyard shed on West Spruce Street.

Lake Grove

A driver-side window of a 2008 Cadillac Escalade on Williams Boulevard was broken, and a purse and sunglasses stolen from the vehicle Jan. 31.


A 1998 Mitsubishi located in a parking lot on Montauk Highway was broken into Jan 31. A pocketbook containing money, jewelry and a checkbook was taken.

North Lindenhurst

A 2005 Nissan parked on 49th Street was broken into through a side window Feb. 1. A DVD player and GPS unit were stolen.

West Islip

Beer was stolen from a 7-Eleven store on Union Boulevard Jan. 31.

Wheatley Heights

A North 17th Street house was discovered burglarized Feb. 1. Entry was made through an unlocked window. Cash, credit and debit cards and a TV were reported stolen.


A Grand Boulevard house was discovered burglarized Feb. 1. Entry was made through an unlocked bedroom window. A laptop computer, a PlayStation game console and cash were taken.


Center Moriches

An unknown person entered a Seaview Lane residence Jan. 31. Jewelry was reported stolen.

Dix Hills

A 2010 Hyundai parked in the Exit 52 park-and-ride lot was discovered broken into Feb. 1. A GPS unit was reported missing from the vehicle.

East Patchogue

All four tires on a 2007 Hyundai were punctured, and the side of the car scratched Jan. 31 while it was parked in an East Woodside Avenue driveway.

A gift card vending machine located on Montauk Highway was broken into Feb. 2. Gift cards were reported stolen from the machine.

Fort Salonga

A 2010 Mercury parked in a Bradshaw Lane driveway was discovered burglarized Feb. 1. Money was reported stolen.

Huntington Station

A wallet containing credit cards was discovered stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in a New York Avenue parking lot Feb. 1.


The front door of a Horseblock Road house was pried open in an attempted burglary Jan. 31.


The window of a Corporate Center Drive office building was shot with a bb Jan 31.

St. James

All four rims and tires were discovered stolen from a 2009 Acura parked in a Hillside Avenue driveway Jan. 31.

Tires and rims were stolen from four vehicles at Smithtown Acura on Middle Country Road Jan. 31, and the windows were broken on nine additional vehicles.


A Medford man, 19, was arrested Feb. 4 and charged with robbery first degree in connection with an armed robbery earlier of a 7-Eleven store on Route 25. The suspect is charged with displaying a handgun and demanding the store clerk hand over money and lottery tickets. When he saw a police officer pull into the parking lot, he fled the store on foot and was tracked down by a canine officer and his dog. The man was also charged with robbery, first degree for a Feb. 3 incident where cash was stolen from a cards store on Route 112 in Medford.
