Bronze Award for Melville scout

By Jen Pratico

Assemb. Jim Conte (R-Huntington Station) welcomed Girl Scout Nicole Cambria of Troop 1468 to the Assembly Chamber recently. Nicole was introduced on the Assembly floor and was applauded for her achievement of earning the Bronze Award.

The Girl Scout Bronze Award is the highest honor a Junior Girl Scout may receive and is awarded to Girl Scouts who have shown the leadership and planning skills necessary to follow through on a project that makes a positive impact on their community. Working toward this award demonstrates their commitment to helping others, improving their community and the world, and becoming the best they can be.

Nicole is from Melville and goes to Maplewood Intermediate School in the South Huntington School District.
