At its Dec. 2 meeting, the board:

Center Moriches: Granted Heather Poach permission for proposed accessory apartment exceeding 650 square feet permitted (1,030 square feet), west side of North Ocean Avenue, south of Hamilton Street.

Center Moriches: Granted Heather Poach a side-yard variance for proposed two-story residence (subject to one front door only); also, front-yard setback, minimum and total side-yard variances for existing roofed-over porch exceeding 4 feet by 8 feet permitted

(6.3 feet by 30.2 feet), west side

of North Ocean Avenue, south of Hamilton Street.

East Setauket: Granted Joseph and Laura Rotondi a front-yard setback variance from Pleasant Drive for existing detached shed located in front yard, northwest corner of Pleasant Drive and Buckingham Meadow Road.

Holbrook: Granted Francis Bocain a front-yard setback

variance for existing entry deck exceeding 4 feet by 8 feet permitted (6 feet by 16 feet), north side of David Street, east of Ackerly Lane.

Mount Sinai: Granted Arthur Rode 8-foot side-yard and 8-foot rear-yard variances for proposed in-ground swimming pool, west side of Pinehurst Drive, north of Village Drive.

Port Jefferson Station: Granted Johanna and Paul Kosak permission for proposed one-story residence addition, southeast corner of Grove Street and Broadway.

Shirley: Granted Deborah Malone a front-yard setback variance from Tudor Road for proposed in-ground swimming pool; also, permission for pool to be located less than the required 25 feet from overhead electrical wires (21 feet), southwest corner of Tudor Road and Hounslow Road.

At its Dec. 16 meeting, the board:

Port Jefferson Station: Granted (subject to the filing of accessory apartment permit) Mohammed Hussain a rear-yard variance for existing enclosed patio, west side of Jayne Boulevard, south of Susan Road.
