Reports from county or village police, Feb. 21-27


Patio furniture and items in a residence on Hollow Court were stolen Feb. 25. The loss was valued at $10,000.

Copper piping was stolen from

a Hulse Landing Road location Feb. 21.


A diamond necklace was stolen from the Diamond Jewelers store on Middle Country Road on Feb. 21. Police were told the suspect fled the store on foot.

A pocketbook, Coach wallet, cash and personal papers were stolen from a 2001 Hyundai Sonata parked at McCarthy's Bar on Middle Country Road on Feb. 21. The driver-side window was broken.


A 2006 Mitsubishi truck in the parking lot of a business on Route 112 was marked with graffiti Feb. 22.

East Setauket

A garage door opener was discovered stolen Feb. 23 from a 2008 BMW parked on Lewis Street.


The window of a 1997 Saturn was discovered smashed Feb. 23. A GPS unit and a pocketbook were reported stolen.


A Nissan Sentra was stolen from the Tens Machine Co. parking lot on Grundy Avenue. The owner left the unattended vehicle running.

An unlocked 2000 Toyota Avalon was stolen from the 7-Eleven parking lot on Broadway Avenue on Feb. 22 while the owner was inside buying coffee.

Lake Grove

Jewelry and a pocketbook were stolen from a house on Penn Street on Feb. 21.

Miller Place

A window of a 2010 Acura was smashed while parked in the Napper Tandy's pub lot on Route 25A on Feb. 21. A pocketbook was reported stolen.


Various items were stolen from the Pathmark supermarket on Route 112 on Feb. 22.

Port Jefferson Station

All four tires of a 1999 Mercedes parked on Broadway were slashed Feb. 22.

A tire on a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer and a tire on a 1997 Chevy Tahoe, both parked on Pacific Street, were slashed

Feb. 22.


A 2000 Chevy Tracker on Rockaway Trail was stolen Feb. 21. The keys were left inside the vehicle.

Rocky Point

Police were called regarding a fight outside Club Edge on Route 25A on Feb. 21. One person sustained a bloody nose. There were no serious injuries, and no arrests were made.


A Medford man and a Bellport woman, both 24, were arrested Feb. 21 and charged with petty larceny for stealing circuit breakers from The Home Depot on Independence Plaza.
