Centenarian: Morton Moskowitz

Morton Moskowitz was born Aug. 12, 1909. He served in the Army's Fourth Infantry Division and was wounded during the D-Day invasion on the beach in Normandy, France, and received a Purple Heart as well as six other medals including the World War II medal and the European Middle Eastern Campaign with five bronze stars and arrowhead. Morton lives in the Dry Harbor Nursing Home in Middle Village. He has three nieces Adele, Lenore and Diane. He enjoys visiting with family in Melville.
