A stabbing in St. James late Wednesday injured two men, Suffolk County police said.
One of the victims, in what police said was a domestic incident between brothers-in-law, is a man, 45, who was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with non-life-threatening wounds — stabs and slashes.
Police said he had surgery and is in stable condition.
The other man, 43, had minor injuries a was treated and released, police said. He was arrested on a charge of second-degree assault.
Initially, police said they responded to a 911 call at about 8:35 p.m. about a girl on a residential street with “blood on her.”
That call led police to Mills Pond Road, and Fourth Precinct officers who responded determined the girl was not hurt, police said.
Police, who don’t normally comment on domestic incidents, said no other information was available.
