Three people have been arrested on narcotics charges after an investigation into a nonfatal overdose last month in Westbury, Nassau County police said.

Anthony Ingenito, 68, of East Meadow, was arrested at his Seventh Street home Friday in connection with the nonfatal overdose involving an unnamed Westbury resident, police said in a news release on Saturday. Police said Narcotics Vice Squad detectives found Ingenito in possession of 500 bags of heroin.

An investigation into the source of the heroin led to the arrests of Julius Perez, 33, and Sahily Lapaz, 29, both of Elderts Lane in Woodhaven, Queens, during a police “buy” operation around 8 p.m. Friday in Bellmore, police said.

Ingenito is charged with 11 counts, including criminal sale of controlled substance and conspiracy. Perez is charged with criminal sale and possession of a controlled substance. Lapaz is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance.

Perez and Lapaz were arraigned Saturday at Nassau County First District Court in Hempstead. Perez was held on $10,000 cash or $10,000 bond, according to online court records. Lapaz was held on $15,000 cash or $15,000 bond, records show. Attorney information for both was not immediately available.

Ingenito had not been arraigned by Saturday night.
