Mattituck man faces DWI charge after traffic stop

A Mattituck man was charged with driving while intoxicated early Wednesday morning after he crossed into an oncoming traffic lane and had slurred speech after his vehicle was stopped, Southold Town police said.

Andrew L. Faircloth, 25, was held at police headquarters awaiting arraignment after the incident, which occurred at 2:49 a.m. at Factory Avenue and Route 25 in Mattituck.
