A woman with white medical tape over her nose held up a bank in Bayport Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

Police want the public’s help in finding the robber, who entered M&T Bank on Montauk Highway about 1:25 p.m. and passed a note demanding money to a teller, authorities said.

She ran off after getting cash, police said.

The robber wore a blue-patterned skirt, a black jacket, white gloves, dark scarf around her head and sunglasses, police said in releasing bank surveillance photos of the woman. She had dark hair and appeared to be between 40 and 45 years old and about 5 feet tall, police said.

Detectives said anyone with information could call the major case unit at 631-852-6555 or Crime Stoppers at 800-220-8477.
