A Brentwood woman was speeding when she crashed her car in Commack on Thursday night, seriously injuring one of her passengers, Suffolk County police said.

Marie Telemaque, 28, was driving her 2003 Mazda sedan east on Motor Parkway near Shinbone Lane at about 7 p.m. when she apparently lost control, police said.

Photographs of the crash scene show the car hit a tree.

Both her passengers were injured. Sean Corbin, 26, of Brentwood, was taken to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries, police said.

A front-seat passenger, Hugh Tomlinson, 26, also of Brentwood, had nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

The Mazda was impounded for a safety check.

Telemaque was issued a ticket for speeding, police said, and the investigation is continuing.
