Cops seek Amityville beverage store robber

The gun-toting robber wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black sweatpants with white stripes, a black mask, black gloves and black and white Nike Air Force 1 sneakers.

Suffolk County police are hoping you can now help them identify the suspect, who they say robbed an Amityville beverage store in December.

Police have released surveillance footage of the crime, which took place at Broadway Beverage on Dec. 13 at 5:21 p.m. Police did not disclose how much was taken.

Police said the suspect walked into the store on Broadway, flashed the gun, took cash from the register — and ran out.

Police said he was seen getting into a dark-colored sport utility vehicle driven by an accomplice.

Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is being asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-8477. Tipsters can also text police at SCPD using the word CRIMES (274637) and can also email tips to police at All calls, texts and emails will remain confidential, police said.
